Reports have surfaced that the Bucks have inquired about the availability of Atlanta Hawks wing Kent Bazemore. Bazemore is an ideal candidate for any team on the verge of seriously competing looking to add wing depth, so why should the Milwaukee Bucks make a play?

The Bucks are expected by many in NBA circles to take a leap this upcoming season into the upper echelon of contention, especially in a LeBron-less Eastern Conference. Possessing one of the real superstars in the game in Giannis Antetokounmpo, as well as a competent supporting cast, things are in place. The addition of highly respected coach Mike Budenholzer only serves to heighten their trajectory towards contention.
Before we start, some necessary things you need to know about Bazemore. He has two years left on a four-year deal worth $70 million he signed back in 2016 with Atlanta, including a player option worth over $19 million for 2019-20. Whether the Bucks would be willing to take on a financial commitment of this size is another story altogether, but that isn’t what we’re here for.
