Become a More Consistent Scorer
Of course, asking Brown who helped lead the C’s to an Eastern Conference finals to increase his scoring load is a bit much. But the two-year guard has to in order to solidify a repeat of last year’s playoff run. The 2017 NBA All Team Second Team recipient can score more points by improving his shot selection.
Often times when Brown takes the court he forces unnecessary shots or tries too hard to force his will in the paint. Again, the 21-year-old can increase his scoring by converting at the free throw line. During the 2017-18 season, the right-handed guard went to the free throw line more than three times a game.
Currently, LBJ goes to the line 6.5 times per game which is impressive considering the number of times the referees swallow their whistle. In last year’s playoffs, Brown averaged 18 points per game and shot 64 percent from the charity stripe.
The former Golden Bear can score in bunches, space the floor and create on his own on occasion. On the other hand, he needs to work on his offensive consistency. Needless to say, he will be a solid two-way player in the NBA and will help Boston and company get to the finals this season if he works on these three areas.
