As previously mentioned, it would be nice to see Nance get defensive rebounds and push it. He’s got the vision and quickness to make that a viable option for Cleveland, and it could open up Korver and Love even more outside. In the halfcourt, however, you’d like to see Nance display his quickness more.

When he’s being guarded by slower bigs, Nance should be able to survey their coverage and make a decisive move. For the foreseeable future, he’s going to have a bunch of space on the catch. If the mid-range shot is within the offensive flow, he should take it. If not, utilizing a few dribbles into a baby hook or a short-range floater could make opponents more honest.

With his long strides, he will be right near the rim and get more easy shots. Larry Nance Jr. should be a key part of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ future, but if he’s not, that’s on him.
