1. Orlando Magic
There are a few playoff spots that are up for grabs in the Eastern Conference. The Boston Celtics, Philadelphia 76ers, Toronto Raptors, Indiana Pacers, Milwaukee Bucks, and Washington Wizards are pretty much no-brainers. So seeds 7-8 are going to be wide open.
The Magic probably have the biggest need for a point guard in the entire association. 30-year-old D.J. Augustin and Jerian Grant are the only two point guards in Orlando. Hill would also be a significant improvement from Elfrid Payton, who they started last season with as their main point guard.
On paper, this team could be playoff worthy. Look at these names: Evan Fournier, Aaron Gordon, Jonathan Isaac, Nikola Vucevic, Mo Bamba, and Jonathon Simmons. That is six quality NBA players and not one of them is a point guard.
If the Magic want to make a push for the playoffs they need to make a push for a veteran point guard with experience winning. This is a young team in age and playoff experience. Hill would be a perfect fit for this roster.
While it would not make sense for Orlando to offer legitimate draft compensation, they could use a player like Terrence Ross as the base of a trade to appeal to Cleveland because he is a wing player on an expiring contract.
